About Data Openly

Data Openly brings together dashboards on topics of public interest, built from open, official data. The idea is simple: take datasets that are already public but hard to use, and turn them into clear charts with text that explains the context and what the numbers show.

Who is behind it

The site is run by Gustavo Mansur, based in São Paulo, SP, Brazil. All analysis, text and visualizations are produced independently, with no ties to the agencies that publish the data.

How the dashboards are made

  • Data comes from official, open sources, always cited at the end of each page with a link and license.
  • Each dashboard has a methodology section explaining filters, processing and limitations.
  • The update date appears at the top of each page. When the source publishes new data, the dashboard is updated.

Free access

The site is free, requires no sign-up and is available in Portuguese, English and Spanish. Some interactive dashboards are currently in Portuguese only, but the explanation, methodology and sources on each page are translated. The site is supported by ads served by Google AdSense. You may reuse the information as long as you credit Data Openly and the original data source.
